About

These have been challenging and unprecedented times for us all as we move through this global pandemic. Students who have been learning at home and have felt disconnected from their teachers and friends can use extra support. On this website we have provided some developmentally appropriate resources which can be used in the home to promote social emotional learning and mindfulness practices. It is our hope that these resources will be helpful for parents and educators to find strategies to help calm the minds and bodies of primary and intermediate learners.

Please check out the Further resources section for current research and helpful links.   A great short video about why to practice mindfulnes is found here.

This would also be a good resource to share with an intermediate class.

Site creators Erin Siddall and Carly Borden are currently new teachers in Sd40 and Sd49.  They created this site as Candidates in the Arts-based and Creativity Elementary Education Cohort (BEEM) at the University of British Columbia in 2020.  Please feel free to use and share these resources in your class or community.
