Make your own Stress Balls

At home!

Books: Welcome

Two Ways to Make!

You can make a stress ball using mostly items found around the home. It's up to you what you want to use to fill the stress ball: flour or rice.

To make your own stress ball, you will need a few items:

  • A funnel

  • A small plastic water bottle (optional)

  • Flour or rice

  • Balloons (normal sized)

  • Scissors

Now, here's the steps to making your own stress ball at home!

  1. Stretch out the balloon a little bit by pulling on each end of it.

  2. Choose what you will fill the balloon with: flour or rice.

  3. If you are using flour, you have the option of using a small water bottle (empty) to help get the flour into the balloon. First, use a funnel to pour some flour into the water bottle. Next, stretch the opening of the balloon over the mouth of the water bottle. Turn the water bottle upside down and gently squeeze to push flour into the balloon. This allows you to fill the balloon more than you would be able to with the funnel alone.

  4. If you are using rice, simply stick the funnel into the opening of the balloon and pour in rice slowly.

  5. Remove the funnel from the balloon and carefully let out any air.

  6. Tie the balloon closed tightly and cut off any excess with your scissors.

  7. Take a second balloon and snip off the end. Then, carefully stretch it around the first balloon - this makes it stronger so that it won't rip.

  8. If you want, you can repeat step 7 with a third balloon to make it super durable.

  9. Enjoy your stress ball!
